Iceland Photo Safari with Nature Explorer

There are good reasons why Iceland is great for nature photographers:

If you wish to join a guided photography tour, we are planning two exciting photo-safaris for summer 2010 but we also cater for private groups and individuals who want a customized tour.

In August you can join Nature Explorer´s Fire & Ice Photography Tour which includes some unique photo ops that are only available once a year, such as a fireworks show above Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon and Reykjavik Cultural Night. On this tour we include some of the main attractions but there´s a focus on the volcanic highlands and the less travelled places, landscape photos you would not find on your own.

In the summer there is daylight all day and all night. The clear and pure air gives great brightness which is ideal for photography. Whether you want secluded seacliffs brimming with birdlife or black lifeless lava deserts, icy cold glaciers or boiling mud pools surrounded by volcanoes, green hills or deep blue mountain lakes... it´s all here and for the most part, not too far apart. But summer is not the only time to visit. One of Nature Explorer´s most extraordinary tours is the Northern Lights Photo Safari where we hunt the magnificient Aurora Borealis on Super-Jeeps across glaciers and the highland wilderness.
